Description
Rainclad+ is an advanced, engineered version of Rainclad, developed for ventilated rainscreen facade systems that require project-specific performance and design flexibility. It allows full customisation of density and thickness, enabling architects and facade engineers to optimise insulation performance, structural requirements, and fixing strategies to suit individual project conditions.
Manufactured from natural volcanic basalt rock, Rainclad+ delivers excellent thermal insulation, fire resistance, and acoustic performance (-55-62 dB) within external wall constructions. Its robust mineral wool composition ensures long-term durability while maintaining vapour permeability throughout the building envelope.
With a declared thermal conductivity of λ = 0.035 W/mK (with project-specific variations available), Rainclad+ provides high-performance thermal efficiency for complex facade systems and bespoke architectural designs.
Rainclad+ is classified as Euroclass A1 (non-combustible) and is suitable for use in buildings of all heights, including high-rise developments, when installed within compliant facade systems in accordance with UK Building Regulations.
